The Enjoneah Reel Youth Scholarship is given in honor of an amazing student athlete of East Mecklenburg High School that participate in all four program as a freshman and sophomore in high school before she was tragically killed in a car accident. (2016)
This scholarship is awarded twice a year (Fall and Spring semester) to young ladies age 14-18. This scholarship supports young ladies that participate in track & field, cheerleading, dance, or any student that serves in a leadership role at their school as a member of the student body administration; Ex. president, vice president, secretary, etc. This scholarship awards $500 to the school program in which the student is actively attending and an additional $500 is given to the winner to offset the cost of uniforms, travel, foods and supplies. The Richard Townsend youth scholarship for boys age 17-21 this scholarship assist those young men that want to become barber. this award is given out twice a year with DVYIF paying $500 to the school of your choice and $500 given to the student for supplies etc.
This scholarship is given in honor of a exceptional young man, father, friend, and community leader that always remain calm and positive and always respectful to the neighborhood in which he serve as a barber drawing support and wisdom from many pastors and community leader but most of all a great father.
